About Us
About the Junior Youth
The Junior Youth (JY) is the dynamic fellowship for young people aged 13 to 17 at Presbyterian Church Of Ghana, Covenant Congregation, Dzorwulu. This is a space where teenagers discover their identity in Christ, build lasting friendships, and grow as bold disciples of Jesus. Through Bible studies, youth camps, outreach programmes, and fellowship activities, the JY shapes young hearts to live with purpose, integrity, and faith in the midst of a challenging world.

Where We Come From
Brief History
Junior Youth began informally in the 1970s at Peyer Congregation, Bantama, in the Asante Presbytery, when presbyters including Mr. Fred Darko saw the need for a youth-friendly service to engage young people in worship. The movement spread across congregations and gained official recognition when the Church adopted its Youth Policy in 1983. The first formally inaugurated branch opened at Nativity Congregation, La, in 1984, followed by Ebenezer Congregation, Osu, in 1985. In 2010, the General Assembly granted Junior Youth autonomous status, separate from the Young People's Guild, and by 2017 the Church had formalised a national coordinating body and an annual Junior Youth Week.
